About Us
After her son Ruan was born, Aisling wanted to put some pictures up on his wall. Rather than just ‘random’ pictures, she really wanted four pictures which spelled out Ruan’s name and realized she’d have to do them herself. She finally decided on R for Rocket, U for Umbrella, A for Alligator, N for Nessie. She was so delighted with the result that Castles and Clowns was soon born!All our original designs are hand-painted using water-based paints. Designs are painted onto stretched canvas and finished with a protective matt coating. Our pictures are extended onto the sides of the canvas to give a lovely 3-D effect, so there is no need for framing.
Our standard canvasses are 8”x8” square (20cmx20cm) and 1” (2.5cm) deep. Other sizes and shapes are available to order.
